Day 1 – Lima/Iquitos/Ceiba TopsEarly morning flight northeast to Iquitos. Arrival transfer through Iquitos to the Explorama dock. Enjoy a 25-mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops. Afternoon trek in the primary rainforest reserve surrounding Ceiba Tops with opportunities to see macaws, three-toed sloths and countless other creatures. Evening opportunity to talk with the local guides. Three nights at Ceiba Tops, a leading eco-lodge boasting 72 air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms and hot water. Facilities include 24-hour self service coffee, jungle bar, dining room, swimming pool and hammock house overlooking the Amazon River.Day 2 – Amazon Jungle
Morning boat ride to spot the pink river dolphins and visit the small village of Yagua Indians. There will be the opportunity to see some of the local crafts and a demonstration of the blowgun which some Yagua elders still use for hunting. Afternoon walking excursion to the neighbouring town of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital.Day 3 – Amazon Jungle
Full day visit to the worlds longest canopy walkway further down-river in the ExplorNapo Reserve. The walkway spans over 500 metres, connected by tree platforms, and reaches a height of 35 metres. It offers the chance to experience the diversity of life at the tops of the trees.Day 4 – Ceiba Tops/Iquitos/Lima
At leisure to enjoy a morning excursion into the rainforest by boat or on foot. Option to go piranha fishing. Afternoon boat transfer to Iquitos for the evening return flight to Lima.
