Day 1 – London/Lima Depart London for the flight to Lima. Arrival transfer to the Swissotel.

Day 2 – Lima

Morning at leisure. Afternoon private guided tour of Lima including the Government Palace and the Archaeological Museum. Evening welcome dinner.

Day 3 – Lima/Cusco

Early morning flight to Cusco, the fascinating former capital of the Inca Empire. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to acclimatise to the altitude. Three nights at the Libertador Hotel.

Day 4 – Cusco

Morning guided tour including the Inca ruins of Tambomachay and Sacsayhuaman. We will also enjoy a 'pisco sour' cocktail at colonial Colcampata House.

Day 5 – Sacred Valley

Enjoy the day exploring the Sacred Valley of the Incas including the market town of Chinchero and the fortress of Ollantaytambo.

Day 6 – Cusco/Machu Picchu

Early morning transfer to the station at Poroy for the scenic Vistadome train ride to Machu Picchu. Guided tour of the magnificent sanctuary. Overnight at the Machu Picchu Inkaterra Hotel.

Day 7 – Machu Picchu/Cusco

The morning is yours for further exploration. We recommend rising early to admire Machu Picchu at sunrise or, for the hiking enthusiast, climbing up the Huayna Picchu peak to overlook the site. Return to Cusco by train.

Day 8 – Cusco/Lima

Fly to Lima. Afternoon visit to the famous Gold Museum.

Day 9 – Lima/Santiago de Chile

Morning flight to Santiago. Afternoon tour of this panoramic city including La Moneda and San Cristobal Hill. Two nights at the Grand Hyatt Santiago.

Day 10 – Santiago

Full day tour to the picturesque Maipo Valley, one of Chile's most famous wine growing regions.

Day 11 – Santiago/Puerto Varas

Flight south to Puerto Montt in the Chilean Lake District and transfer to Puerto Varas for overnight at Melia Patagonia.

Day 12 – Andes Crossing

Today enjoy an outstanding journey across the Andes to Bariloche in Argentina. This is an exclusive trip travelling along the shores of Lake Llanquihue before boarding a private yacht to travel up Lake Nahuel Huapi to Llao Llao Hotel for three nights.

Days 13-14 – Lake District

Enjoy two full days in the beautiful alpine surrounds of Bariloche.

Day 15 – Bariloche/Buenos Aires

Fly to the ‘Paris of Latin America’, Buenos Aires. Enjoy an evening of elegance at the Esquina Carlos Gardel Tango theatre. Three nights at the Sofitel Hotel.

Day 16 – Buenos Aires

Morning sightseeing including San Telmo and Recoleta Cemetery. In the afternoon, tour the underground tunnels at El Zanjon, a 175-year old mansion and unique A&K '& Moment'.

Day 17 - Pampas

A day to experience Argentine country life at El Rocio Estancia (ranch). Spend the day enjoying local food, wine and the hospitality of your hosts.

Day 18 – Buenos Aires/Iguazu

Fly to Iguazu. Here, witness the incredible spectacle of the Parana and Iguazu Rivers plunging over hard granite in a series of gigantic waterfalls. Overnight at the Sheraton Hotel, just steps from the falls.

Day 19 – Foz do Iguaçu/Rio de Janeiro

Tour the Brazilian side of the falls and transfer to the airport for the flight to Rio de Janeiro. Three nights at the Sofitel Hotel.

Day 20 – Rio de Janeiro

Morning excursion by open jeep to the charming district of Santa Teresa. Lunch at Porcao’s, a traditional Brazilian churrasco (BBQ). Afternoon visit to Corcovado Mountain, Rio's famous Christ the Redeemer landmark.

Day 21 – Rio de Janeiro

Morning visit to the Catholic Cathedral and ride to the peak of Sugar Loaf Mountain. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner at the home of a local artist, a memorable end to your South American adventure.

Day 22 – Rio de Janeiro/London

Morning at leisure. Midday transfer to the airport for the overnight flight to London, arriving day 23.
