Painted gold every night as the sun sets over Eden Bay, this wonderful resort hotel is nestled on the lower slopes of St Lucia's famous Piton Mountains, recently added to UNESCO’s list of World Heritage sites. Set on the site of an 18th century sugar mill, now integrated into the resort itself, Jalousie spreads luxuriously across 325 acres of lush tropical forest, with trails reaching back to explore the natural wealth of the mountainous landscape. Most guests, however, look forward to the quarter-mile swathe of beautiful white sand beach, secluded in this private environment. Diving and snorkelling is amongst the best in the Caribbean as the area forms part of a protected marine park, with dive sites such as The Coral Gardens and Supermans Flight.
Accommodation
The resort comprises 65 Mountain View and 35 Ocean View Villas and Suites and 12 Sugar Mill Rooms. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, mini-bar, clock-radio, television and video. The Villas and Villa Suites are scattered on the tropical hillside offering great views of the Pitons and the bay. The Villas Deluxe and Villa Suites have a patio area and private plunge pool. The Sugar Mill Rooms comfortably accommodate three adults and the Villa Suites have a separate living room with double sofa bed and television.
