Situated in western Uganda, this intimate lodge offers luxury in the midst of one of Africa’s most amazing natural environments, the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Bwindi is incredibly diverse with numerous plant and animal species including 320 mountain gorillas - half the world’s remaining population. These magnificent creatures are only found in Uganda, Rwanda and the Congo, and Gorilla Forest Camp is an ideal base from which to venture out into the surrounding rainforest to experience them.
Accommodation
Eight spacious double tents on wooden platforms, each with en suite facilities with hot and cold running water. Rock-lined showers or bathtubs that look out onto the surrounding vegetation. Each tent has a spacious wooden verandah where you can relax, enjoy a private meal or simply absorb the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding rainforest.

Gorilla Forest Camp has a bar and dining cottage as well as a natural raised platform for open-air dining. At night, a traditional African campfire is lit where the gorilla briefings take place. Cuisine and service has been described as the best in Uganda. From the outstanding location of Gorilla Forest Camp, other activities include bird watching, forest trekking and visits to the local market and villages. Experienced guides will accompany you on your gorilla tracking where a maximum of eight visitors are allowed to each gorilla family group.
