ANCIENT WONDERS: Pyramids at Giza
No place is perhaps more iconic than Egypt, from the Pyramids of Giza erupting from the heat haze to the white sails of a felucca lazily floating down the Nile.
Not all sites are purely Pharaonic however, as the legacy of other cultures such as the Greeks, Romans, early Christians and the many centuries of Islamic dynasties provide fascinating viewing.
