We have selected only one hotel in St. Martin located on the French side, where there are wonderful beaches and an undeniably strong Gallic influence in the cuisine. For those looking for the true France in the Caribbean, then St. Barthelemy would be your island of choice. Having aptly been described as eight square miles of France under the Caribbean sun, it seems as if many of the finest things about France have been transferred to this idyllic island setting. The small island of Nevis with its unsophisticated beauty is a reminder of the West Indies as they used to be. This is not a destination for those looking for the relative sophistication of islands like Barbados and St. Barths, but is ideal for a peaceful escape. For all four islands, it is necessary to connect on a scheduled or private charter flight from Antigua.
