MEDIEVAL PAST: city walls of Tallinn
Europe's medieval past come to life in Tallinn, a perfectly preserved vision of the past that survived Soviet occupation to speak over the ages to a new generation.
Estonia is based in the Eastern shores of the Baltic Seas- bordered by Russia and Latvia it boasts unspoilt great scenic beauty with low flat countryside, many forests, lakes and Islands and a long and shallow coastline. Estonia can be covered one side to the other in around 5 hours.
The capital, Tallinn - a chocolate box medieval town surrounded by the old city walls, contains many cobbled winding streets. These streets find themselves leading you to Merchant Houses, old castles and churches. Outside of the walls the modern city lays of the edge of the Baltic seas, with a bustling port.
A city with huge character and lots to do; culture and history is taken very seriously here.
